De Humanisten, the Dutch edition of Humanly Possible is now available! And there will be some events in the Netherlands to celebrate this in October: a lecture for the Humanistisch Verbond in Arnhem on the 28th, and a discussion at Amsterdam’s Brainwash Festival on 29th. Do come along if you are in those parts of the world!

Germanly and Italianly Possible

I’m delighted to say that the German translation of Humanly Possible is now out – joining the Italian translation, which appeared some months ago. Wie man Mensch wird is available from C.H. Beck, and Umanamente possibile from Rizzoli. The Dutch translation is coming soon too, followed by more.

A new book is coming soon – Humanly Possible: seven hundred years of humanist freethinking, inquiry, and hope.

It will be published on or around 28 March 2023, by Chatto & Windus in the UK, Penguin in the US, and Knopf in Canada. Read a little more about it here!

The Serbian translation of At the Existentialist Cafe has just come through, with a charming cover illustration. It’s by Sara Bejkvel, and features Žan-Pol Sartr, Simona de Bovoar, Alber Kami, Martin Hajdeger, and Moris Merlo-Ponti.

The Korean edition of the Existentialist Cafe is now out from Theory and Praxis Publishing Co., and check out this brilliant cover. Among the cocktail’s ingredients are Godzilla, Charlie Chaplin, and Keanu Reeves – and yes they’re all in the book.  (I have no link for it yet, but will update if/when I get more information.)
